Sub Launch

On June 9, Hyundai Heavy Industries launched Korea’s newest submarine, named Sohn Won-il. Its name comes from the late Admiral Sohn Won-il who was Korea’s first Navy Chief of Staff and later minister of defense. The submarine costs 350 billion won per unit.
