Summit

Chinese President Hu Jintao (left) and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin are on their way to taking a picture together at the summit meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, or SCO, which opened in Shanghai, China yesterday. SCO is a security consultation body comprised of China, Russia and four Central Asian countries. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who attended the summit as an observer, proposed a separate meeting for energy ministers to discuss ways for energy cooperation.
