Lady Bird Johnson`s Funeral

The funeral service of Lady Bird Johnson was held on July 14 at the University of Texas at Austin where she had attended school. First lady Laura Bush (third from the right in the front row) showed a hand signal that represents the school’s longhorn symbol. Students of this university employ this gesture with the phrase "Hook `em Horns" when they cheer their sports teams. Those attending included former first lady Nancy Reagan; former president Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalynn Carter; first lady Laura Bush; and former president Bill Clinton and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
