“No Briefing Room Access”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade barred photographers and broadcast journalists from entering its new briefing room on the first floor of its building on Sunday afternoon as First Vice Foreign Minister Cho Joong-pyo held a briefing. The ministry said that only newspaper journalists are allowed to the room as the briefing was a “background briefing” that would be off the record. Only two reporters showed up in the briefing.
