Mourners Pay Tribute to Pavarotti

On the day of world famous vocalist Luciano Pavarotti’s death at age 71, September 6, mourners waited in a long line in front of the cathedral of his home town of Modena where his funeral will be held. Pavarotti became the first recipient of the Excellence in Italian Culture Award since the establishment of the Italian government, and passed away two days later in Modena.
