Anthony Kim (photo) wore a red T-shirt in the final round of the Canadian Open like Tiger Woods, but this brought him no luck.
In Oakville, Ontario, yesterday, Kim, 23, had raised expectations of his seasons third victory by staying just a stroke back from the leader after three rounds. In the final round, however, he stumbled and finished tied for eighth with Kevin Na at 11 under-273.
Rookie Chez Reavie of the United States won his first PGA victory with a final round score of one-under 70. He won 900,000 U.S. dollars in prize money, a sum larger than his combined earnings up until last week (746,414 dollars).
Charlie Wi tied for 14th, finishing at nine under-275.
