Shin Young-rok yesterday scored two goals for the Turkish pro soccer team Bursaspor in a 3-1 win at Sivasspor.
The 22-year-old striker entered the game in the 57th minute and scored in the 85th minute to double his teams lead to 2-0. He added an insurance goal three minutes later.
Shin had failed to leave a strong impression in his teams last four games as a substitute but his latest performance has heated up the competition at the striker position. A former member of the Suwon Samsung Bluewings in the K-league, he had four goals and four assists for Bursaspor last season.
In France, AS Monaco striker Park Chu-young, 23, helped his team beat host team Nice, 3-1. With Monaco leading 2-1 in the 71st minute, he assisted on the third goal by Alejandro Alonso.
Park had scored his first goal of the season last week against Paris Saint-Germain and sixth overall in the French league.
Against Nice, Park received a rating of seven from the Internet edition of the French sports daily LEquipe, second highest at the team, for showing a sharp path and untiring stamina. Monaco also won its second consecutive game.
