The Citizen Network for Media Reset yesterday chose the TV investigative program “PD Notebook” on MBC as the year’s worst TV program.

The civic group said the program’s “intentional distortion, exaggeration and false representation of facts” inflicted huge damage on Korean society.

Other awards included MBC’s “News Who” in the news and current events program category; KBS2’s “Chat with Beauties” in the variety and live show category; and MBC’s “Bap jweo (Gimme Food)” in the drama category.

Kim Gu-ra was voted the worst TV personality for his blunt comments and YTN’s news program “Dolbal Yeongsang (Accidental Images)” and MBC`s "News Magazine 2580” were named to the programs fostering anti-business sentiment.

The group surveyed programs aired on KBS, MBC, SBS, EBS and YTN from Jan. 1 through Nov. 20 this year.
