The Chosin Few

Former U.S. Marine Albert Meringolo, who fought in the Chosin Reservoir battle in the Korean War, visits the Korean War Memorial in Seoul Feb. 1. The 19 golden statutes seen behind him were erected to honor Marines who fought in the battle. “The Chosin Few” inscribed on his hat is an organization set up by veterans of the battle and is pronounced as “chosen few.”
