Military Offensive in Afghanistan

Afghans pass by U.S. troops Sunday, nine days into a military offensive against the Taliban in the Marjah district of southern Afghanistan`s Helmand province. The offensive is estimated to have killed 13 allied troops and 120 Taliban insurgents as of Sunday. Afghan authorities also announced the same day that missile blunder by allied forces in the nearby province of Uruzgan killed 21 civilians and injured 14.
