Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference Opens

The annual Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference opens Wednesday in Beijing. The top political advisory body and the National People`s Congress to be held on Friday are called the Lianghui (the Two Meetings). This year’s main theme of the two meetings is to eliminate corruption, narrow the gap between haves and have-nots, curb property market bubbles and inflation, and establish health care and welfare systems.
