Video Footage of the Cheonan

The top bow section (encircled) of the sunken Cheonan, which was split into two in waters off Baengnyeong Island in the Yellow Sea, is seen above the surface of the waters before the patrol boat sank Friday. The video footage was filmed by the Korea Coast Guard patrol boat 501 and released by maritime police yesterday. The footage shows the bow section standing vertically at 90 degrees. With military speedboats and the 501 screening their search lights at the site of the sinking, a small speedboat of the Coast Guard is seen closely attached to the hull of the sinking Cheonan, with its flashing lights on.
