“People in autocratic countries such as China and North Korea are suffering from human right abuses. This also threatens global stability. I hope China and North Korea will become democratic countries soon.”

A Chinese national who is leading the Chinese version of the Jasmine Revolution with the Internet ID “Forest Intelligence” made these comments to The Dong-A Ilbo Monday. He asked to remain anonymous due to the heavy crackdown that the Chinese government is conducting to prevent popular protests against it.

The activist, who is studying at a South Korean university, is one of five Chinese that began their country`s own version of the Jasmine Revolution. They posted messages on Twitter that instigated protests against the Chinese government on Feb. 17.

The number of Chinese revolutionaries who are rattling the Chinese Communist Party through their activities with computers and social networking sites has increased to 25. They are Chinese studying abroad in countries including South Korea, the U.S., France and Japan and a new generation elite acting secretly in China.

The activists opened the Web site Molihuaxingdong.blogspot.com, referring to “jasmine action” to lead the revolution. The 25 members make joint decisions in posting and correcting messages and jointly agreed to give Dong-A an interview.
