North Korea`s state-run Korean Central News Agency airs scenes of the final match at the World Table Tennis Championships on Monday. The graphic scoreboard created by the state-run broadcaster displays a clear image of the South Korean national flag, Taegeukgi (left photo). Footage of the volleyball competition final between South Korea and China at the Guangzhou Asian Games, which was pre-recorded and aired by the North Korean broadcaster in December 2010 (right photo), shows blurred images of Taegeukgi. Attention is focusing on Monday’s airing as it was very far from the North’s past practice, which used to delete Taegeukgi when airing scenes in pre-recorded video footage from foreign countries.
