Japanese abductee Megumi died at mental hospital in Pyongyang

Picture of Megumi Yokota (Left) in the 4th grade of elementary school before she was kidnapped to North Korea. Megumi was abducted in 1977, when she was in the 1st year of middle school. At the center is a picture of Megumi after she became an adult in North Korea. This picture was made public by Megumi’s parents at a press conference in 2004. When or where this picture was taken has not been known to the public. Picture on the right is a building layout of the Pyongyang Hospital where the kidnap victim died. The special isolation ward where Megumi had been kept is seen on top of the layout plan inside the dotted line. This is a drawing that a former hospital employee, who worked at the hospital when Megumi died, drew by himself during the investigation in September this year. To cover up identity of the witness, all letters in the drawing were replaced with print instead of his hand writing.
