LG to unveil G6, LG Watch in Korean market in early March

LG Electronics will launch its premium smartphone G6 in the Korean market on March 10. The company will also unveil its LG Watch, which has been already put to market in the U.S., concurrently with its flagship phone on March 10.

According to the electronics industry on Friday, LG Electronics has completed consultations about the launch schedule and pre-orders with the top three mobile carriers in Korea on the day. The schedule suggests that they will start taking pre-orders from March 2 to March 9.

In Barcelona, Spain, the Korean electronics giant will unveil the G6 on Feb. 26 (local time), the eve of the World Mobile Congress 2017. The G6 will feature the 18:9 aspect ratio, 5.7-inch full screen.

LG’s Mobile Communications division incurred the biggest ever operating loss of 1.26 trillion won (1.09 billion U.S. dollars) last year. Electronics industry insiders are paying attention to whether LG's upcoming flagship G6 will provide a stepping stone for the mobile division to make a turnaround.
