Local media reports continue coming in that the transfer of Lee Kang-in (22, Mallorca) to Paris Saint-Germain is imminent. Specific conditions such as transfer fee, contract period, and salary are also being publicized.

The French sports media 'L'Equipe' reported on Tuesday, "If Lee Kang-in returns from the national team call-up, he will sign a contract with PSG." The Spanish media ’Marca’ also said on the same day, “PSG offered Mallorca a transfer fee of 22 million euros (approximately 30.2 billion won) to recruit Lee Kang-in. The two clubs are coordinating the final details.” According to Marca, PSG guaranteed Lee Kang-in's participation in the regular league and the UEFA Champions League. According to reports from local media, Lee Kang-in's contract period is three to five years, and his annual salary will be roughly 4 million euros (about 5.5 billion won).

Lee Kang-in made his professional debut in Valencia (Spain) in 2018 and moved to Mallorca in 2021. He recorded six goals and six assists in 36 Spanish La Liga games in the 2022-2023 season, drawing attention from Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid.

PSG is a team that has won the French Ligue 1 title 11 times, the most in history. In the past two seasons, the offense lineup was composed of the world's best players, such as Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe. However, Messi, whose contract with PSG ended this year, has confirmed his transfer to Inter Miami of the American Major League Soccer (MLS). Neymar, who has a contract with PSG until 2025, is also likely to leave the team as he has been receiving attractive offers from the Saudi Arabia Professional Football League. Mbappe said on his social media that day, “I will play for PSG next season as well.” If Lee Kang-in moves to PSG, he can play with Mbappe on the same team.
