“Please calm down,” said a man in a Spider-Man costume to a homeless person who was causing disturbances in Jamsil station in Seoul around 9:10 p.m. on Saturday. The homeless person caused disturbances as the staff of the station who were patrolling the station woke the man and asked him to leave.

According to a video posted on social media, the man in a Spider-Man costume was holding back the homeless person who was swinging at the staff with his fist. As the ‘Spider-Man’ did not let go of both wrists of the homeless person, the homeless yelled to let them go. However, the ‘Spider-Man’ jumped around while holding the man’s hands to change the mood, causing laughter around them.

An 11-second video and pictures of the scene were posted on X (formerly Twitter) as the sighting of ‘Spider-Man’ and were viewed over 4.4 million times as of Sunday afternoon. “The man left as the police arrived at the scene and led the homeless person out,” said a member of Seoul Metro. “The identity of the ‘Spider-Man’ hasn’t been confirmed.”

The ‘Spider-Man’ replied to the social media post around 1 a.m. on Sunday, saying that it was him and that he tried to stop the fight as he saw an old man arguing with the station staff and heard it would take 10 minutes before the police would arrive in response to a report made by a woman at the scene.
